The Fall issue of rails to trails has a very nice article on Memphis Harahan Bridge. This will be a game changer for East-West Trans Am cycle tourers. Who would not prefer a route including friendly roads through Memphis, Nashville, and either Chattanooga or Knoxville to the vicious dog and coal truck infested Kentucky route.
Way to go Kyle, Anthony, Mark and company.

This project is certainly spectacular and would be a BIG draw for Memphis. What the article doesn't mention is the connector to West Memphis. It is my understanding that West Memphis has agreed to connect up to the bridge thereby completing the Mississippi River Trail into Arkansas.
